The Dutch is located int he South Village of New York City. It's tough to choose what cocktail to order with such an interesting collection of ingredients. Currently on the menu is cardamom, vanilla bitters, rhum clement creole bitters, caramel, mole bitters and more. My research partner for the evening decided on the Peach Basil Smash. The peach gives a wonderful vibrant color and the basil an herbal crispness. This drink went down smooth.
So does the smash come from how the ingredients are "smashed" together or from what happens if you drink too many of these? You decide.
