Amargo Brulee, Reed and Greenough

Reed and Greenough is located in the Marina district of San Francisco. The Amargo Brulee is a delicious concoction of Campari, Fortaleza Anejo, lime juice, blood orange, and egg white. They ran out of blood orange and had to substitute with tangerines on the day I went. The finishing touch for this drink is the torch just like Reed and Greenough's Pisco Brulee (see the Pisco page for a picture of the brulee process). I initially thought the drink would be sweeter with the tangerine, but it wasn't. I would love to see how the color of this drink changes with blood orange. I'll just have to wait for my next visit, which I hope is soon.

I went during happy hour with a wine loving friend who took advantage of the $5 happy hour Sauvignon Blanc.
